Dorothy Nelkin is professor in the Department of Sociology and in the Program on Science, Technology, and Society at Cornell University. She is the author of The Creation Controversy, Controversy: Politics of Technical Decisions, and Science as Intellectual Property. Michael S. Brown is research associate at the Center for the Study of Drug Development at Tufts University.
