John P F Lynch has written several history, historicalfiction books and a biography. Most books are in theAustralian National Archives and in state libraries. Thefocus has been on colonial history in the 1850-1870era, interrelated with an entertaining storyline.He has travelled extensively during his sixty-yearcareer in aviation and has visited County Clare inIreland and Cumbria in Northern England several timesto research his books.John is a member of the Order of Australia, a KnightHospitaller of the Order of St John of Jerusalem and aFellow of the Royal Victorian Association of HonoraryJustices.He is an ex-navy veteran and was the president ofthe Romsey/Lancefield RSL just on ten years. He isalso a former president and secretary of the RomseyFootball/Netball Club and a Life Member of both. Heis a reserve member of the Macedon Ranges LegacyGroup having served as a chairman of the group, boardmember of the Bendigo Club and long-standing Sergeantof Arms. His current main community involvementis as vice president of the Craigieburn War MemorialRemembrance Committee.He is now retired and lives with his wife in theCraigieburn Retirement Village in Victoria.
