The 33 lavishly illustrated rhyming stories feature children misbehaving and learning a lesson from their mischief. In her introductory note, author Josephine Pollard explains that her purpose is not to teach children new naughty things to do, but rather to recognize themselves in the descriptions and correct their faults.
