Über den Autor
Michael Ball studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, where he also received his Ph.D. in 2006 in the field of energy-system modelling, developing a model for hydrogen infrastructure analysis, which served as a tool for producing the European Hydrogen Energy Roadmap. After a stay as a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovative Research (ISI) in Karlsruhe, he joined Shell in the Netherlands in 2006. He has held various positions as project CO2 advisor, before becoming involved with hydrogen business development at Shell. Dr Martin Wietschel is the co-ordinator of the 'Energy Economics' business unit at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research, Karlsruhe. He is a Professor at the University of Karlsruhe and a Lecturer at the ETH in Zurich. His work focuses on socioeconomic and technical research, mainly in the field of energy and the environment.
