This collection of essays sets out to correct an injustice to citizens of the Irish Free State, or Twenty-Six Counties, whose contribution to the victory against Nazi Germany in the Second World War has thus far been obscured. Über den Autor
Gerald Morgan was a postgraduate at Jesus College, Oxford, before moving to Trinity College Dublin, where he still teaches. He was a Fellow of Trinity from 1993 to 2002. His primary research field is medieval literature and his most recent book is The Shaping of English Poetry (Peter Lang, 2010). Gavin Hughes is currently Research Associate at the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Trinity College Dublin. He holds a PhD from the University of Wales, Lampeter.
