Dorothy Gladys Dodie Smith (1896-1990) is a beloved children's book author whose works continue to entertain children to this day. Her best known works are I Capture the Castle and The 101 Dalmatians, which was adapted into an animated motion picture classic by Disney, entitled One Hundred and One Dalmatians.As a child growing up in the countryside, Zhen loved exploring nature, watching cartoons and all things story-related. She discovered happiness from drawing at a young age, and since then her passion for telling stories through pictures has only grown. In 2012, she moved to the US to focus more heavily on her study of art. She attended the Academy of Art University and graduated with a B.F.A in illustration. Zhen loves nature, animals and people. She's fond of good movies and traveling and currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
