Untying the Knot: Making Peace in the Taiwan Strait
Expertly tracing the current conundrum through its many historical routes, Bush illuminates the sometimes bizarre logic that animates the cross-strait dynamic. His commonsensical contemplations on how to manage this volatile problem should be essential reading for any would-be practitioner or interested observer of modern Asian politics. . . . (This) book could not be more timely or important for an America confronting the new realities of the 'Pacific Century.' -- Kurt M. Campbell, Senior vice president, CSIS, and former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Asia and the Pacific
