Stephanie Wakefield is an urban geographer based at Florida International University in the Department of Global and Sociocultural Studies. She is currently researching experimental practices for living with water in Miami for a new book titled Miami Forever? Urbanism in the Back Loop. She writes frequently for popular, art, and academic journals, and is a Crossfit Level 1 certified trainer.
