In the last decade she has also pursued research into gender archaeology. Combining these areas of interest is an edited volume, Gender and Italian Archaeology. Challenging the Stereotypes (1998). Katherine I. Wright is Lecturer in Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London. She studied archaeology, anthropology and Near Eastern languages and history at Yale University.
