Recent Advancement in Manufacturing Processes

Among various manufacturing processes, casting, welding, forging, non- traditional manufacturing processes etc. are commercially used as manufacturing solutions. The special issue on &quote;Recent advancement in manufacturing processes&quote;includes original research papers, review papers, technical papers and notes. The volume is devoted to the development of important topics in manufacturing processes and compiles selected papers from prominent researchers. It provides an overview of emerging technologies like: Advanced manufacturing processes, including mechanical, chemical and thermal processes, rapid manufacturing/ casting/tooling, advanced casting, forming and moulding processes at all scales and manufacturing process monitoring, control and automation.Eight invited and peer-reviewed papers report original research, review theliterature, and explore technical matters relating to recent developments inmanufacturing processes. Among the topics are investigating the effect ofvulcanization in tread rubber applications; a macro-model for developing analuminum-silicon composite metal matrix composite with vacuum moulding; theeffect of shape factor, slurry layers, and pouring temperature in preciseinvestment casting; and designed experiments in replicating plasticcomponents with silicon moulding.
