Über den Autor
Mike White grew up in Portland, Oregon, from where he began adventuring in the Cascade Range. He obtained a B.A. from Seattle Pacific University, where he met and married his wife, Robin. The couple lived in Seattle for two years before relocating to Reno, Nevada, where Robin had been accepted to medical school. For the next fifteen years, Mike worked for a consulting engineering firm, journeying to the Sierra Nevada and other areas of the West as time permitted. During that time, the couple had two sons, David and Stephen, and Robin completed school, residency, and then went into private practice as a pediatrician. Upon leaving the engineering firm, Mike became a full-time writer, eventually authoring or contributing to numerous outdoor guides, as well as articles for magazines and newspapers. A former community college instructor, Mike is also a featured speaker for outdoors and conservation organizations.
