Sean McGlynn is the author of By Sword and Fire: Cruelty and Atrocity in Medieval Warfare and is a regular contributor to history magazines and academic journals such as History Today, BBC History and English Historical Review. He was a history tutor at the University of Bath, is Honorary Lecturer at the Department of HIstorical Studies at the University of Bristol, lecturing on Alfred the Great and King Joh: Contemporary Sources and Historical Reputations, and has a Masters from King's College, London.
