Extensive publications in medical scientific journals (e.g. Archives of Disease in Children, Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology, Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry). Co-editor of several books. Recipient of international awards. Highly successful research programme in field of children's sleep disorders including their diagnosis and treatment and their adverse effects. Foremost research unit in this field in the UK and few comparable units internationally. Research interests include sleep disorders and their treatment in a range of paediatric clinical groups and also the associations between sleep and daytime functioning of children and their families. Particular clinical interest in behavioural treatments for sleep disorders. Published research in a variety of peer-reviewed journals.
