Walter Nikkels: Depicted
A large-scale, copiously illustrated monograph on the work of the Dutch typographer Walter Nikkels (1940°) is in preparation. Nikkels has worked and continues to work with international artists (Lothar Baumgarten, Agnes Martin, Rachel Whiteread and many, many others) and art institutes (including the Van Abbemuseum, Museum Kurhaus Kleve and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam). Nikkels was Professor of Typography at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf from 1985 to 2008.
