Enthusiasm
Emotional Practices of Conviction in Modern Germany

Combining historical and ethnographic methods, this book explores different styles of religious enthusiasm in Modern Germany, inflected by historical traditions and social milieus, in an effort to understand the modern ambivalence toward this feeling.
