Cal Ripken Jr is one of only eight players in history to achieve 400 home runs and 3,000 hits. His philosophy of working hard, playing with passion and enjoying the game has made a tremendous impact on the sport and on fans across the world. In 1999, Babe Ruth League Inc. named its largest division (5-12 year-olds) Cal Ripken Baseball. Currently, over 700,000 youths play Cal Ripken Baseball worldwide. Bill Ripken is currently the co-owner and executive vice president of Ripken Baseball, founded in 1999 and based in Baltimore. He is involved in running youth camps and coaching clinics. Through his work with these programmes, he has become recognised as one of America's top baseball instructors. Scott Lowe is manager of amateur baseball development for Ripken Baseball. He co-ordinates youth and adult baseball programmes and oversees the creation and distribution of Ripken Baseball instructional products.
