Kinship also becomes increasingly important on the marriage market. This phenomena that became predominant in the late 18th century points towards a conceptual loss in meaning of kinship - in the sense of being freed of taboos - and an increase in meaning with regard to 'usage'. This could be of existential meaning but can also cause conflict, dependence and obligations.
