It was one of Western civilization's loftiest and most profound ideologies in existence. Stoics has always believed in encouraging involvement in human affairs that the object of all inquiry is to provide a mode of behavior marked by tranquility of mind and moral value certainty. The school of stoicism was founded by Zeno of Citium around 300 BC in Athens. He opposed the popular school of epicurism, founded by Epicurus, who believed in a materialistic world and an accidental nature, driven by pain and pleasure. Zeno developed his school of stoicism from (amongst others) the ideas of Cynicism, which prioritize virtue and simplicity. He started his teaching in the Stoa Poikile (the Painted Porch) in the center of Athens. This stoa was a covered colonnade, publicly accessible, and caused the name of his philosophy: stoicism. Zeno lay the foundation of stoicism and had an enormous influence in the school..THE relationship between stoicism and religion· This defines human duty to God by embracing the mind duopoly, and the Stoic worldview's will presents us as suitable partners in communication with God.· It reduces love's destructive role in our daily lives. We must address God in strictly rational and volitional terms in the Stoic vision of life. Jesus, who lacks any affection-related emotions or desires, is seen to be interacting with us in purely objective terms. This, in essence, defines Christian relationships with God as contractual and judicial functions: He gives us the conditions that he requires us to obey, and then we apply our minds and wills to meet those requirements. The practice of stoicism involves principles that must be adhered to, in order to enjoy the benefits of stoicism you must abide to the following principles.· You don't have power to change anything , You can only change attitude.· Don't fall prey to the materialistic nature of modern society.· Picture life without the people and possessions you have to truly appreciate them.· Be genuinely cheerful in all your interactions.· Practicing your values beats preaching them.Do you need solutions for managing anger, frustration, depression, and anxiety.
