Dr. Robert Coles was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his five-volume Children of Crisis series. He is professor of Psychiatry and Medical Humanities at Harvard Medical School and James Agee Professor of Social Ethics at Harvard University. Winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, our highest civilian honor, he is also the author of many books.Daniel Berrigan, S.J., is a Catholic priest who was one of the most eloquent voices protesting the Vietnam War in the 1960s, and who has continued to be an outspoken activist against social injustice. He has been arrested more than fifty times and has spent many months in federal prisons. Berrigan is the author of numerous books, including (with Thich Nhat Hanh) The Raft Is Not the Shore: Conversations toward a Buddhist-Christian Awareness and is an accomplished poet. He lives in New York City.
