The author has played recreational baseball of one kind or another for almost sixty years. Included in this narrative is a history of his almost thirty years of playing for one of the founding teams of the National Capital Baseball League-one of the largest, if not the largest, recreational baseball league in the country. Innings is an account of the author's participation in a game that for him, regardless of his skill in playing it, has almost been a vocation.
