Über den Autor
Partha Sarathi Gupta (1934-1999) was Reader in History at the University of Delhi in 1962, and was appointed Professor of British and European History in 1974. He was also the Sectional President of the Indian History Congress (Calicut, 1976) and General President (Patiala, 1998). He edited three volumes of the Towards Freedom project of the I.C.H.R., pertaining to the years 1943 and 1944, which was published in 1997.
