Wilder was one of the best students of Platonism and Ancient History of his time, and there is much information on the Eleusinian, Cabeirien, Bacchic/Dionysian, Egyptian and Mithraic Mysteries. He was editor of H.P. Blavatsky's Isis Unveiled and she held that only Wilder and Thomas Taylor had a deep intuition on Platonic subjects.
