ClearlySo Flying Pants, the youngest social entrepreneur in the UK. We saw it also in the Social Business of the Year Award in which 12 year old Lashai Ben Salmi brilliantly pitched her anti bullying app to the entire audience. This is an experience which reduces many seasoned entrepreneurs into gibbering wrecks, but she took it with aplomb. We first ran into her at one of our teatimes and she's been tearing up the sector ever since. Lashai experienced bullying at school and as a direct result Lashai missed over a year of education. This effected her confidence, academic achievement and social skills - did she give up? No way... Instead Lashai actively chose to convert her adversity into empowerment. Today Lashai is the proud winner of three awards since July 2011: Live Unitd Award, Young Citizens Award and Black Young Achievers award.
