Geoffrey Baym is Associate Professor of Media Studies at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, USA. He is the author of From Cronkite to Colbert: The Evolution of Broadcast News (2010) and numerous articles and book chapters on the changing nature of news media and political discourse. Jeffrey P. Jones is Director of the Institute of Humanities at Old Dominion University, USA. The author of Entertaining Politics: Satiric Television and Political Engagement, 2nd edition (2010), he is also co-editor of Satire TV: Politics and Comedy in the Post-Network Era (2009) and The Essential HBO Reader (2008).
