Feminist history continues to change the way history is written, and in doing so changes our view of the past. The authors of this collection explore how issues of sexuality, class, nationalism and colonialism informed the ways in which women were represented and continue to be represented in history. Ann-Marie Gallagher is Senior Lecturer in Combined Honours at the University of Central Lancashire. Cathy Lubelska was formerly Principal Lecturer in Social History and Women's Studies at the University of Central Lancashire. Louise Ryan is Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Central Lancashire and Research Fellow at the Irish Studies Centre, University of North London.
