Tessa Rajak, D.Phil., Oxon is currently Reader in Classics University of Reading, and Associate Director, AHRB Research Centre for the Study of Jewish Non-Jewish Relations. She is the author of Josephus: The Historian and His Society (London 1984) and joint editor of The Jews Among Pagans and Christians in the Roman Empire (London 1993).
