In 2005, Ku was invited as a Yoshino Fund special guest to teach and exhibit at the Origami Tanteidan convention (the annual meeting of the Japanese Origami Academic Society) in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, he has received two degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT while acting as the president of MIT's origami club, OrigMIT. He lives in Boston, MA.Daniel Robinson is an industrial designer in New Jersey. He has been doing origami for over 25 years. His work has been published and displayed in museums all over the world. Robinson believes that the product of origami is secondary to the process; it is the transformation of a simple sheet of paper into something evocative and stimulating that conveys the real magic of origami.
