Catharina Raudvere is Professor of the History of Religions at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and directs its research centre 'Many Roads in Modernity. South-East Europe and its Ottoman Roots'. Her most recent publications include studies of Islam and Muslim life in Bosnia and the edited Contested Memories and the Demands of the Past.
