One of the most exciting applications of positive psychology is making work healthier and happier. Edited by leaders in the field, this is a comprehensive collection of cutting edge chapters by the top scholars in positive organizational psychology. Stephen Joseph Professor, School of Education, University of Nottingham This handbook offers a valuable overview of some of the most popular issues related to understanding and building positive workplaces. It will be beneficial to academics and practitioners alike. Jamie Gruman Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour, University of Guelph This authoritative Wiley Blackwell Handbook in Organizational Psychology focuses on positivity and strengths-based approaches at work. The editors have drawn on their collective experience in collating thematically structured material from leading thinkers and practitioners based in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Coinciding with the growing international interest in the applications of psychology to organizations, the work offers a unique depth of analysis from an explicitly psychological perspective. Each chapter includes a detailed literature review that offers academics, researchers, scientist-practitioners, and students an invaluable frame of reference. Coverage is built around competencies set forth by regulatory agencies including the APA and BPS, and includes resilience, employee engagement, job crafting, authenticity, positive leadership development, and positive work relationships.
