Physical Layer Security in Random Cellular Networks
This book investigates key security issues in connection with the physical layer for random wireless cellular networks. It first introduces readers to the fundamentals of information theoretic security in the physical layer. By examining recently introduced security techniques for wireless point-to-point communications, the book proposes new solutions to physical layer security based on stochastic geometric frameworks for random cellular networks. It subsequently elaborates on physical-layer security in multi-tier heterogeneous networks. With the new modeled settings, the authors also verify the security performance with the impact of the ful…

Hui-Ming Wang is currently a Professor at the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University, and also with the Ministry of Education Key Lab for Intelligent Networks and Network Security of China. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2004 and 2010 respectively. From 2007 to 2008, and from 2009 to 2010, he was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Delaware's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests include physical-layer security of wireless communications, cooperative communication systems, MIMO and space-timing coding. Prof. Dr. Wang has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journal issues and for conferences. He has served as a TPC co-chair, symposium co-chair, and TPC member of various international conferences. Dr. Wang received the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award in China in 2012, a Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing in 2011, and a Best Paper Award at the IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China in 2014.Tong-Xing Zheng received his B.S. degree from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2010. He is currently completing his Ph.D. studies at the same institute and is expected to graduate in 2016. His primary research interest is in the area of physical-layer security for wireless communications under the framework of stochastic geometry.
