Susanna Moore, born in 1945, spent her childhood with her four siblings in Hawai i. When she was 18 years old she left the island to work as a model and actress. In 1983 she started writing; her thriller In the Cut was a US national bestseller and turned into a movie starring Meg Ryan and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Susanna Moore lives and works in New York.
