Über den Autor
Clement Clarke Moore (1779-1863) was American Professor of Oriental and Greek Literature at a New York City seminary where he also served as a Professor of Divinity and Biblical Learning. His immortal poem, originally titled A Visit from St. Nicholas, set the template for today's vision of Santa Claus, from the white beard to the eight reindeer. W. W. Denslow (1856-1915) is famous as the original illustrator of L. Frank Baum's many stories from the land of Oz. Denslow recognized that his work appealed to a young audience and his aim was to make children's books filled with good, clean, wholesome fun.
