John Hill is Professor of Media at Royal Holloway, University of London, UK, and the author or editor of a range of books and journals including British Cinema in the 1980s (1999), Cinema and Northern Ireland (2006) and Ken Loach: The Politics of Film and Television (2011). Nobuko Kawashima is Professor in the Faculty of Economics, Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan, and Visiting Professor in the Policy Alternatives Research Institute, University of Tokyo, Japan. She is the author of two books on the creative industries (in Japanese 2009, 2013) and co-editor of Global Culture: Media, Arts, Policy, and Globalization (2002).
