Scott B. MacDonald, PhD, is the head of credit and economics at Aladdin Capital Holdings, Stamford, CT, where he analyzes and helps make investment decisions for portfolios in excess of $1 billion in a number of Asian companies throughout Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Korea. Dr. MacDonald has authored, coauthored, or edited 16 books, including 7 with Praeger, on international economic affairs and has written numerous articles on Asian issues. Jonathan Lemco, PhD, is principal and senior sovereign risk analyst at The Vanguard Group, one of the world's largest mutual fund companies, and has a long-standing involvement with the Asian region. He has taught political science courses in Taiwan, consulted with the Korean Ministry of Finance, and been the risk analyst for China's first 100-year $1 billion deal, the Korea Development Banks' $500 million deal, and many others. Dr. Lemco has taught at McGill University and at The Johns Hopkins University and has authored or edited nine books, four with Praeger, as well as many academic articles on international political and economic issues.
