Scott Slovic teaches environmental literature and directs the Center for Environmental Arts and Humanities at the University of Nevada, Reno. He served as the founding president of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (ASLE) and is the author of Seeking Awareness in American Nature Writing and coeditor of Being in the World: An Environmental Reader for Writers.
