His Honour Professor Judge Eugene Cotran is visiting Professor of Law and chairman of the Centre of Middle Eastern and Islamic law at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. Gijs de Vries is Vice-President of the Netherlands Court of Audit and a former EU counter-terrorism co-ordinator. Julia A. Hall is a counter-terrorism researcher at Amnesty International and a former senior counter-terrorism counsel, Human Rights Watch. Professor Juan E. Méndez is visiting Professor of Law, American University, Washington College of Law and co-chair of the IBA Human Rights Institute.
