Project 1975 is published in collaboration with the Stedelijk Museum Bureau in Amsterdam. Project 1975 is the result of a two-year program of exhibitions, commissioned essays, events and research. 1975 is the year that Suriname officially became independent from the Netherlands. Über den Autor
Jelle Bouwhuis is a curator and since 2006, Head of Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam (SMBA). Bouwhuis is a member of the Visual Arts and Design Advisory Board for the city of Utrecht and was recently a co-recipient of the Abraaj Capital Art Prize 2010 in Dubai. Kerstin Winking is an Assistant curator at Stedelijk Museum Bureau (SMBA). She graduated from the University of Amsterdam, where she obtained a research masters degree in Cultural Analysis.
