To Manipulate a Beautiful Butterfly
To Manipulate a Beautiful Butterfly is the start of an uncomfortable discussion too few are willing to have. In an attempt to help move a generation forward into (what we hope is) a flourishing future. We must be willing to share (our Information), educate and enlighten (our youth) on the little knowledge we obtain in our short lifetime. This discussion is a sample size review on the Black woman's role in her Black community. And, how the past has been used to Manipulate the future Black woman into devaluing herself as the creator of life. Thus, setting the Black community on the path of destruction. Über den Autor
I find that too often we (as a people) get caught up in one's achievements and/or failures. We tend to allow people in perceived positions of power, whether it's our own race or not, to hand pick those who deserve a pedestal. In order to move forward, we must do away with that mentality. Truth is, everyone has something to bring to the table that could potentially help improve a race, a nation or self-worth the planet as a whole. In my short journey in this learning experience we call life, I have had the pleasure to have met a plethora of women and men who (like myself) are interested in finding that Promise land we all so desperately seek. From our past mistakes to histories triumphs. To paths taken selfishly that have had effects (good or bad) on the current generations today. Overall, who I am as an individual is not important. What is important is that, this excerpt and any future excerpts written will be an attempt to remove selfishness from the equation so that future generations (my children, my children's children's children and so on) can have the opportunity to live in a place where selfishness doesn't exist.
