Profane is an annual print and audio journal featuring an eclectic mix of poetry, creative non-fiction, and fiction. We record every poem and piece of prose we publish in the author's own voice. With that in mind then, we want our name to express for readers an openness to being challenged. Of course, not every piece in our journal may epitomize the profane, which to us represents that highest degree of confrontation.
