Edward L. Stratemeyer (1862-1930) was an American publisher and writer of children's fiction. One of the most prolific writers in the world, Stratemeyer produced more than 1,300 books himself, and created many well-known juvenile series, including The Bobbsey Twins, Tom Swift, The Hardy Boys, and Nancy Drew. The lesser known, 15-volume Dave Porter series was written exclusively by Edward Stratemeyer between 1905 and 1919 and featured a typical American lad. full of life and vigor and his many adventures around the world. This is the fourth volume in the series.
