DESERT SKIES
This small volume was written to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Desert Skies condominium complex. Located in the southwest corner of Palm Springs, Desert Skies is a prime example of Mid-Century Modern architecture at its finest and was built by one of the city's leading early developers, Roy Fey. Opened in December 1956 as an apartment-hotel, the complex was soon converted into cooperative apartments, becoming condominiums in 1993.
