James Neuberger MD, Professor of Hepatology, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Professor Neuberger is the Associate Medical Director at NHS Blood and Transplant, and Professor of Hepatology, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. He has worked in many aspects of liver disease and transplantation and been involved with UK Transplant (UKT) for over 10 years. He is also Editor-in-Chief of LWW's Transplantation, the journal of the Transplantation Society, and on the board of several liver and transplant journals. He?has 295 articles listed on PubMed. Dr James Ferguson MD, Consultant Hepatologist, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Interests include: cardiovascular and renal dysfunction after liver transplantation and the complications of portal hypertension; portal hypertension, vascular disorders of the liver, alcoholic liver disease and adolescent transition. Dr Philip Newsome, Senior Lecturer in Hepatology and Clinical Director of the Birmingham University Stem Cell Centre, Birmingham, UK. Dr Newsome has had many major research papers in scientific journals published as well as reviews and book chapters in the fields of virology, cancer and tumour immunology.?He has received major grants from NIHR, Wellcome Trust, UKSCF, BBSRC and the Medical Research Council.?He is an enthusiastic communicator on the theme of translational stem cell work and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and gives frequent talks to various groups at both the local and national level.
