Über den Autor
Waldemar Bogoras (1865-1936), was a Russian revolutionary and anthropologist. During the Jesup North Pacific Expedition (1900-1901) he conducted fieldwork in Chukotka and Kamchatka. In the 1920s and 1930s he became one of the leading protagonists in the shaping of early Soviet anthropology.
