He is the author or editor of many books in the field of Jewish history.Benjamin C. I. Ravid is Professor Emeritus of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University. He is the author of numerous studies in the fields of early modern Jewish history, particularly Italy, and modern Jewish thought, with a special focus on the work of his father, Simon Rawidowicz.
