Flow Measurement by Electromagnetic Induction
Theory and numerical methods
This book describes the basic principles of electromagnetic induction measurements and consolidatesthe outcomes of recent research. It encompasses pipeline electromagneticflow meters, electromagnetic flow meters, multiphase flow electromagneticflowmeters and flow field of electromagnetic induction reconstruction. Thoughtheoretical in nature it does draw on experimental data and includes newresearch findings, especially in the areas of multiphase flow and flowreconstruction. With a focus on theory and computation in flow measurement byelectromagnetic induction including traditional flowmeters in closed conduits, velocity probe, two-phase flow,…

Über den Autor
Xiao-Zhang Zhangstudied at Tsinghua University from 1978 to 1983 for his first degree inengineering physics, he obtained his master's degree at Southern East University in1986 studying insertion turbine flowmeter, and a PhD from Hohai University in1989 studying electromagnetic induction flow measurement. After working as a lecturerin Nanjing Aeronautic and Astronautic University, he went to CranfieldUniversity in 1991 to research electromagnetic flow measurement probes with the support of the Royal Society. He returned to China the following year andmoved to Tsinghua University in 1994. He is now a professor in engineeringphysics, lecturing and working on machine vibration and mechanical measurement. Hewas previously director of the Institute of Technical Physics at Tsinghua andhas been a visiting professor at Cambridge University and Cranfield Instituteof Technology, as well as an editorial board member for the journal Flow Measurement and Instrumentation.
