This early work by Sherwood Anderson was originally published in 1917 and we are now republishing it with a brand new introductory biography. 'Marching Men' is a novel about an ambitious man striving to create order out of his fellow labourers. Sherwood Anderson was born in Camden, Ohio in 1876. He left school at fourteen, and after working various jobs served in the Spanish-American War in 1898. In 1908, Anderson began writing short stories and novels.
