HANNIBAL JACK LARKIN ... Living in the United States, we sometimes take for granted the freedoms and liberties that we have here. Compared to many other countries, we have it made pretty good. Unfortunately, we do not know or understand, what it takes, on a daily basis, to maintain our rights and freedoms we enjoy. Please let me clarify one thing, I am sad to say we have our share of poverty and there is no denying that. Overall, however, the United States of America is the best place to live on the planet. Proof of that is how many people want to come here from other countries to be free and to be able to live as they wish. Many people feel our government is not what it should be. They feel our government has too much control over what is said and done here. Ignorance and misunderstanding has a lot to do with how some people perceive things. Unfortunately, the media doesn't always help in that regards. You will always find naysayers no matter where you live or go. It's just part of life. The story you are about to read will make you think twice before jumping to any conclusions as to what really goes on here in the United States. A wounded warrior coming back from years of service in the military, Hannibal Jack Larkin, named after his grandfather, got an unexpected phone call that would change his life forever. On February 26, 1993, tragedy struck the city of New York. It was one of the most outrageous attacks on American soil. Staying at his mother's in Hawaii, recuperating, the phone rang. It was the White House. That phone call was going to make Hannibal Jack Larkin one of this country's most valuable silent heroes. This job was not going to be easy for Jack, as he is better known.
