Über den Autor
The Author: Born in Belgium in 1939, and a graduate of the University of Louvain, Colette Nys-Mazure is a major French language writer, author of poetry, short stories, plays, and essays. She received several literary awards including the prestigious Max-Pol Fouchet and the Scriptores Christiani Prizes. The Translator: Renée Linkhorn received her Ph.D. in Romance philology from the University of Liège, Belgium. She is Emerita Professor of French at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio, and the author of many literary essays in reviews and in book form. She is also a translator of poetry and prose, including two other books in the Belgian Francophone Library Series.
