Mancall, Ph.D. (1986) in History, Harvard University, is Professor of History and Anthropology at the University of Southern California and the Director of the USC-Huntington Early Modern Studies Institute. His books include Travel Narratives from the Age of Discovery: An Anthology (Oxford, 2006) and Hakluyt's Promise (Yale, 2007).
