JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT (1960-1988, New York) was one of the twentieth century's most important artists. He emerged from Lower Manhattan's post-punk underground scene and over the course of his brief career worked closely with artists such as Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. Morethan three thousand works of art comprise his extensive oeuvre.
